PUBG NAME CHECKER — CHECK IF YOUR NAME IS ACCEPTED
Use our free PUBG Name Checker to verify if your chosen nickname is accepted on PUBG Mobile before spending a Rename Card. This tool analyzes every aspect of your name and gives you a clear pass / warning / fail verdict in under a second — so you never waste UC on a name that will be rejected.
The checker validates character count against the 14-character limit, scans for forbidden words and trademark terms that trigger auto-rejection, detects emoji that count as 2 characters and often cause failures, warns about leading/trailing spaces that the game trims, and flags unusual Unicode characters that may display as boxes on some devices.
Everything runs locally in your browser — no data is sent to our servers, no account is required, and there are no limits on how many names you can check. Whether you are testing a simple name, a fully-decorated symbol name, or a blank/invisible name, this tool tells you exactly what to expect before you spend UC.
Remember: the checker follows the publicly known PUBG Mobile name rules and the patterns observed across all regions. It is highly accurate but not an official PUBG tool — for 100% certainty, always test the name on a secondary account first.
PUBG NAME CHECKER — INSTANT VALIDATION
Our name checker runs a battery of tests against your name and returns a full validation report. The checker is designed for both casual players and serious esports teams — it tells you whether a name will pass automatically, whether it needs adjustment, or whether it will definitely be rejected.
The main tests include: (1) character count against the 14-character hard limit that PUBG Mobile enforces, (2) scan for forbidden words including profanity and trademark terms like "PUBG" itself, (3) detection of emoji and other surrogate-pair characters that count as 2 characters and often trigger rejections, (4) leading and trailing space warnings, (5) invisible-character-only name detection, and (6) analysis of unusual Unicode codepoints that may display as boxes or get silently dropped by the server.
HOW TO USE THE NAME CHECKER
The checker is designed to be used in three steps — nothing more. No registration, no login, no data collection. Everything runs in your browser in under a second.
Type or paste your proposed PUBG Mobile name into the input field above. You can include any characters — normal letters, accented letters, decorative symbols, invisible characters, emoji, everything. The checker will handle it correctly.
If the name is very long, paste it as-is — the checker will flag the length automatically.
Press the green "Check Name" button. The checker will instantly analyze the name and produce a detailed report. Each check is presented as a separate item with a green check (pass), orange warning (potential issue), or red cross (definite rejection).
The report starts with a verdict header that summarizes the overall result — accepted, accepted with caution, or likely to be rejected.
Read each item carefully. If any fail-level item is present, the name will very likely be rejected by PUBG Mobile — change your input and recheck.
If only warnings are present, the name is likely to be accepted but with some risk. Common warnings include emoji presence, unusual Unicode, or invisible-only content. In most cases these are fine, but you can remove them to be extra safe.
If everything is green — the name is almost certainly going to pass. You can apply it with confidence.
The checker follows publicly documented PUBG Mobile name rules and patterns observed across servers and regions. However, PUBG Mobile occasionally updates its filters, and some regional servers enforce slightly different rules. The checker is highly accurate but not an official PUBG tool.
Best practice: before spending UC on a Rename Card for your main account, test the exact name on a secondary account first. This eliminates any uncertainty.
COMMON REJECTION REASONS — WHAT PUBG CHECKS
PUBG Mobile applies several automatic filters every time a name is submitted. Understanding what each filter looks for helps you build names that pass on the first try.
PUBG Mobile enforces a hard 14-character maximum. The count includes every visible character, every invisible space, every decorative symbol, and every combining mark. Emoji count as 2 characters because they use a surrogate pair in UTF-16, so a single 😀 takes 2 of your 14 slots.
Our checker counts using codepoints (the user-perceived character) and separately warns if the UTF-16 length exceeds 14. Always stay at 13 or below to leave a safety margin.
PUBG Mobile blocks a list of forbidden words that includes profanity, slurs, and trademarked terms. Common ones to avoid: "PUBG" itself, "Tencent", "Krafton", "Admin", "Moderator", "Owner", "Official", "Support", "Staff", plus standard profanity.
Note: the checker scans the lowercase form of your input, so casing tricks like "PuBg" or "A.D.M.I.N" will still be caught. Attempting to bypass the filter usually results in a rejection anyway.
Most emoji are rejected by PUBG Mobile or accepted only after consuming 2 character slots. If you use 4 emoji, that's 8 of your 14 slots gone before you've written a single letter.
Additionally, emoji are risky because the game's font system may not render them consistently across devices. The safest approach is to use our tested symbols collection instead — they count as 1 character and render everywhere.
PUBG Mobile trims normal spaces (U+0020) at the start and end of names. If your name relies on those spaces for visual effect, they will disappear after saving. The server may also reject names that become too short after trimming.
If you want precise spacing, use invisible Unicode space characters (U+200A, U+2009, U+200B, U+2060, U+FEFF) which are not trimmed. Our Invisible Space tool generates these correctly.
Some servers require a name to contain at least one visible character. A name made entirely of invisible characters (U+200B, U+2060, etc.) may be accepted on some regions and rejected on others.
For a truly blank name, mix invisible characters with a few safe visible symbols (like a single "." or a rare but accepted glyph) so the name is technically "non-empty" from the server's perspective. Our Blank Name tool handles this.
Some Unicode codepoints are technically valid but display as empty boxes (▯) on many devices because the system font does not include a glyph for them. If the game cannot render your name correctly, it may reject it or replace it with fallback characters.
The checker scans each character against a whitelist of commonly supported Unicode ranges. Any character outside those ranges is flagged as "unusual" so you can decide whether to keep it.
Pro tip: If your name fails the checker, try removing emoji first, then trim the length, then swap any unusual symbols for tested ones from our Symbols Keyboard.
PRO TIPS — GET YOUR NAME APPROVED FIRST TIME
Although the limit is 14, some decorative symbols and combining marks count as 2+ characters in the server's internal length calculation even if they look like a single character. Staying at 12 or below gives you a safety buffer so you never hit an unexpected rejection.
Use only symbols from our Symbols Keyboard — every symbol there has been tested on real PUBG Mobile servers across multiple regions. Random symbols found elsewhere may pass on one server and fail on another.
Fonts render differently on different phones. Always preview the name on the same device you play PUBG Mobile on — what looks fine on a desktop browser may look different on your gaming phone. This is especially important for Asian scripts and unusual symbols.
Before spending UC on a Rename Card for your main account, apply the name to a secondary account first. This is the only 100% guaranteed way to know a name will be accepted on your specific server. Rename Cards are expensive — a quick test on a throwaway account saves real money.
A name that technically passes the length check may still look awkward in the lobby. Test how it displays in the kill feed, in the player profile, and on the leaderboard — some symbols render very differently at small sizes compared to the profile view.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The checker follows publicly documented PUBG Mobile name rules and patterns verified across multiple servers and regions. It is highly accurate — probably 95%+ for most names — but it is not an official PUBG tool. PUBG occasionally updates its filters, and some regional servers enforce slightly different rules.
For 100% certainty, always test your final name on a secondary account before spending UC on your main account.
PUBG Mobile allows a maximum of 14 characters. The checker counts codepoints (visible user-perceived characters) and separately warns if the UTF-16 length (which can be longer with emoji) exceeds 14. For best results, stay at 12 or below to leave a safety margin.
Most emoji are rejected or count as 2 characters each. The checker warns you whenever emoji are present. If you must use them, use only the safest ones (⭐, ✨, 🌟, 🔥) which are accepted on most servers. Better yet, replace them with tested symbols from our Symbols Keyboard.
Fail means the name will almost certainly be rejected (e.g., over 14 characters, contains forbidden words, only invisible characters on strict servers). Warn means the name is likely to be accepted but has some risk factor (e.g., contains unusual Unicode, has emoji, has trailing spaces). Pass means the name looks completely safe.
If you have any fail items, the name will very likely be rejected. If you have only warn items, the name is probably fine but you can improve your odds by removing the warned elements.
No. Everything runs locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your name is never sent to our servers, never stored, and never logged anywhere. Even if you reload the page, the name disappears immediately. This is a strict privacy guarantee.
No — that information is only available from the PUBG Mobile server itself. Our checker validates whether the name follows the format rules (length, characters, forbidden words) but cannot know if the exact name is already registered by another player. You will only discover that when you try to apply the name in-game.
No. The checker runs locally in your browser and there is no server-side tracking. You can check unlimited names, unlimited times, without any restrictions. No rate limits, no daily caps, no premium tiers.
There are two possible reasons: (1) your region has stricter filters than the ones our checker models, or (2) PUBG Mobile recently updated its filters since our last update. In either case, the fix is the same: try a simpler version of the name (fewer symbols, fewer emoji, shorter length) and re-test on a secondary account before spending UC.
Partially. The character count and forbidden word checks are PUBG-Mobile-specific, but they are similar enough for Free Fire, Call of Duty Mobile, and most mobile games that the checker still gives useful guidance. For games with very different rules (like PC games with 24-character limits), the checker will flag names as too long — you can ignore that warning for those games.
